What We Do
We do a few things all aligned with our mission of eradicating single use plastic, breaking free from fossil fuels, and supporting systems of reuse. Reusable Solutions is available for hire for any of these initiatives.
Produce Showcases (virtual and in-person) focused on Climate Change Solutions
The solutions for climate change and the circular economy are out there. We put together showcases highlighting the businesses and policy makers that are trying to make that happen. Policy and businesses don’t succeed without customer and citizen engagement. These educational showcases help to change that. The Clean Power hour is a virtual renewable energy showcase in which we feature four companies that are working to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. Participants will have a chance to ask questions and discover what our fossil fuel free future looks like.
Develop, Consult and/or Implement Reuse Programs
The most recent project is the VT Can Carrier Reuse and Recycle Initiative. The idea is simple, these plastic can carriers are reusable. Customers can drop off their carriers at a participating brewery or retailer and they will either reuse it, donate it to someone who can or give it to Casella for proper recycling. Read more about with the press release here.
Zero Waste Wednesday
Zero Waste Wednesdays is a weekly Sustainability Talk Show in which the founder of Reusable Solutions interviews 2 people that are making strides in the zero waste space. The show only happens with sponsors so if you’re a Zero Waste company that wants to sponsor, please drop us a line. Here's a flyer of a past month. Feel free to click the image above to watch a show.
Hyper Local Grassroots Marketing Campaigns
If you provide a system of reuse or ways to get off fossil fuels, we want to help you get the word out! We have a vast network of early adopters in the Zero Waste space to help you with that. We can either directly post in various listservs, facebook posts or ask our partners to post in their newsletters, social media pages and websites. In addition, we can do sponsored speaking engagements where we will talk about zero waste in general and feature your company as a solution. These are particularly effective at Zero Waste events like Neighborhood trash cleanups.
Talk n' Tunes
Talk n' Tunes is a show where Ben Kogan of Reusable Solutions talks trash and what we can do about it. It starts with a few tunes then gets his hands dirty. It highlights programs like the VT Can Carrier Reuse Program and how this can be the model for packaging in every sector. Click here to read about it. The show can be done with a 3 piece band or solo. The music has some environmental content and is the in vein of bluegrass and others roots and folk music.
