Full privacy is tough if you want mainstream usability, but you can get decent levels without going deep into privacy coins. Use wallets that don’t require heavy KYC for basic features, prefer chains with lower traceability (like some L2s), and avoid linking your real identity to on-chain activity. For spending, the card conversion method hides the crypto origin from merchants pretty well since they just see fiat. I’ve been running most daily transactions this way and feel reasonably private: https://plumex.io/ - their setup doesn’t force unnecessary data collection and they explain how spending works without exposing your full wallet history. Not bulletproof against serious chain analysis, but good enough for everyday use vs centralized apps that log everything. I mix chains and don’t reuse addresses much.
